The Challenge

Matthews Brand Solutions spans Europe, America and Asia employing thousands of people worldwide and working with renowned brands such as, Mars, AkzoNobel, Unilever and Henkel. They recognise that to accommodate their ever growing needs they require international coverage dependent on high performance connectivity and Managed IT services within their UK offices.

The key business challenges set by Mathew Brand Solutions included flexible high performance connectivity between national and international sites to allow the transfer of graphic files, high availability at key sites, out-sourced WAN activities to a trusted partner and support on an international scale.

The Solution

The GCI team designed a bespoke and highly specified MPLS solution for Matthew Brand Solutions’ UK and International sites with increased service uptime and a fully managed support offering.

GCI took the stress away of managing the LAN at key sites by deploying fully managed hardware that our staff now monitor and manage 24x7.

As part of this bespoke design, GCIs highly skilled engineers also delivered a hosted security solution that offers several features including, AV/AS, web filtering, content filtering, reporting, private VPN plus 2-Factor Authentication.

Peter Clegg, the company’s IT Manager stated “We evaluated three potential suppliers and only GCI were able to provide the complete solution to time and budget.” The design was backed by delivery and they now benefit from onsite management in the form of an all-encompassing consultancy service on request.
